Also remove the purchase of SIG skills- these should be acquired at end of season. like 200 dunks in season gets posterizer, win slam dunk gets highlight film, 200 3pt made gets catch and shoot, 300 combined block and steal gets defensive anchor, avg 8 ast gets floor general. ect and so on. Damn too bad its too late for any of that now even if 2k producer saw this.

I like the idea.

It could be as easy as new challenges: 500 rebounds in a season raises your cap by a few points, etc.

Even if they keep VC how it is, the only way to raise your caps would be by ACTUALLY playing the games.

man how i wish these greedy *** dudes over at 2k would think about all this. Instead of letting the casuals scrubs strolls their way into z 99 player overall online.

give them and us more incentive to play. instead of the useless 50 hours unskippable useless dialogues we have in mycareer.

There are so many dope ideas here. I wish i could get into the video game industry so we could provide another alternative to the money grab machine 2k has become.. Sad.. sad...

99's are a joke for myplayer and should be earned i agree.

the issue is awareness counts FAR too much towards overall ratings.

its my player, we dont need awareness because the CPU isnt controling us...cap that **** at 50 man.

Just put caps on players and let you pick a role/specialist type player. Shooters, drive type, pg pass first, defense, rim protector etc. and make sure it has a cap on all attributes. Make people grind really hard to get anything close to 99 in ratings. Seems simple but would never have it.

The game is meant for the casual fan and thats where the money is.

I would like to see a system where you pick a type of preset(athletic/slasher/defensive) and earn your attributes through being good at the game. If you get a lot of good shot selections during crew games your shooting stats go up. If you get a bunch of rebounds your rebounding goes up. If you never stop your man and get no steals/blocks your defensive skills go down. It's always evolving slightly. By playing the game and doing things well you earn better attributes. Then your overall will be more like how good the person on the sticks is rather than if they bought vc or if they played a bunch to max out. Would be fun to see what people would be rated as a player and whose good at what skills by how they play. And you wouldn't see a ton of 99s. They already have the grading system.... Just make my overall the average of my teammate grade. If I get A++ every game I should be a high 90s overall player after 40-50 games whatever.

I don't really play Myplayer, mainly because it's so unrealistic!

Players can go from 70 -85 in a single season without work.

There is no realistic factor in the game at all.

Original post is correct but there are a small amount of players in the history that are great at other things. The list provide has less than 10 yet there are hundreds of people with players that are 90+.

I've always thought the Milestone pieces could be tied to progression. Hitting certain milestones (100 rbs, 500 pts, 200 stls) stats would jump up in respective categories with extra skill points for things like averages at the end of the season, during the playoffs etc. I want to earn my ratings, not have a handful of great games and be a 90+ right off the bat.
