Does the cpu mimmick your entire gameplan?

I have been playing nba 2k since 2k9, and one thing that's always happened and I don't believe has ever, or will ever get fixed, is when you pick a defensive gameplan, ex. Man to man, 2-3 zone, etc, the cpu copies you and does the same thing on the other end.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before or if this bothers anyone besides me, but this has been going on for years, without a legitimate reason.

I'm playing 2k14 right now and while I don't normally change my POE, I decided to do a quick game with the Warriors and when I changed my gameplan from patient offense to pick and roll, guess what? My opponent magically started doing the same thing.

Is this a known thing? Anyone else have this experience in which the cpu copies whatever offensive or defensive scheme you pick?

Does anyone like this? Is this a known issue? I know that the defensive copying has been around for years, but this offense thing is new to me. Can any devs share some light on this?

Just to confirm that I'm not crazy, if you could pop in a previous 2k and switch your defense to zone or something and change your PoE to pick and roll in 2k14 to see if I'm the only one with this issue or not.

How do you see what the AI's POE changed to? I don't play a lot of CPU games and when I do, I don't pay attention to anything but my changes.

You can't see, but you can tell by how they play. Once I switched to pick and roll, the cpu ran 3 straight pick and roll plays when they had the ball
