Do people sit in front of TV and watch the CPU play itself?

To each their own! I don't have time to play 82 game a year and sim stats are never the same as when you play it's not realistic

As a CPU vs CPU player, I say no. I treat it as I would any real broadcast. Start it up and then go cook, take care of little man, homework etc while checking in on the game.

CPU vs CPU in association mode isn't for people who like to "watch" the game. It's for people who like to manage a team and see if they made the right moves to build a contender and it not be dependent on their stick skills. I guarantee you I can win a ring with the Sixers RIGHT NOW on HOF Simulation.

I think some will agree that winning a championship CPU vs CPU is more challenging than Human vs CPU.
