Day 1 Patch Fix Request: Curry's Shot

1:36 is Curry's exact one motion shot.

1:49 is NOT Curry's shot.

1:52 is also NOT Curry's shot.

Please fix it in the Day 1 patch.

Sincerely, the 2K Commnity.

Wow, if it isn't already, they really need to set it to 'Quick' because his shot is not that slow. You're absolutely right about 1:36 being the real thing. That was pretty damn close to how fast it takes him to get it out of his hands.

I'm with you on this one. Looks decent, but way too slow for Steph. Somewhat disrespectful, really.

But then again, it does look a bit hard to get that shot down if you're just looking at the animation. I think that's the thing about his jumper, the one-motion shot and the speed at which he gets it off at might be kinda hard for devs to pull off without having the release be too hard to learn. At the same time, I'm thinking that might not matter though with the new shot meter. Idk.

But Steve Blake had a quick release in 2K14, though.

Lol. But that's Steve Blake. People like to play with Stephen Curry, not Steve Blake. I'm sure they made the jumpshot change after hearing it from fans and Kevin Durant. And when a popular player like Stephen Curry, who for crying out loud is the best shooter in the NBA, has a jumpshot in the game that's hard too learn and people keep complaining about... I'd bet devs would wanna make some changes to alleviate those complaints.

I think that sig is pretty close.

Although I hope they nailed the way his legs splay apart on those momentum pull ups.

No way should 2K make Curry's shot slow and unlike his actual release just to make it "easy to learn". His quick release is deadly-- it makes him that much more difficult to guard because he can get his shot off any time. Even if the release was a little shorter, it'd be rewarding to learn because it'd be amongst the most accurate when you do. 2K just needs to make sure his window is sufficiently large.

Steph's shot was hard to learn in 2k14 not because it was too much like his real release (Steph couldn't even figure it out). It was because it had a weird hitch like the incorrect releases people complain about. If he shot smoothly with a hitchless one motion stroke, it'd be a lot easier to learn, quick or not.

The only thing he doesn't deserve an A+ in is 3 point shooting. Past that, the man was pretty phenomenal at everything.
