Why are my cpu-teammates nerfed offline?

Beluba said it in another thread, that the defensive behaviour by cpu teammates is slightly nerfed.

I understand the concept for online. It benefits the player who controls all players.

I'm an offline myleague player and only want to control one player (coach mode would be perfect for me, but this isn't possible anymore next-gen). If i try to put a winning team on the floor i want to see the strengths and weaknesses of my players. The rookie has no defensive awareness? If i'm controlling all players, it doesn't really matter. I have a ball hog in the team? So what. I control him, so i'm making him pass.

It's my way to play the game - kind of real sim for me. Why have i to be punished, when i'm playing offline?

They're not nerfed, you just gain a slight boost for contesting the shot yourself.

That's not saying the CPU teammate is nerfed, only that your player's shot-contesting is buffed. As a bonus for actually controlling them.
