Create Player - choose nickname?

How do you select the nickname for created players? I want to put a player into myleague but the announcers automatically call him Cowboy for some reason. I didn't see any option to select a nickname when making him and still don't see any when I go into edit.

You can't, it's not an option. No idea why this was taken out of the game for CAP. The game just automatically assigns CAPs with nicknames now. I suppose you could create however many players and hope that one of them is given the nickname you want

Thats really unfortunate. Hopefully this can be patched in at some point. It can't be difficult to do, it's just enabling an option that should be there in the first place. I hate that my created player is automatically called cowboy and to change his nickname I have to remake the whole character and hope he's not called Houdini or something?

I'm in the other side. I think it's dumb that you have to pick a weak *** knickname period.

Agreed. My guy is called buckets. Terrible horrible nickname. Cowboy is worse though lol.

Teams of all CAPs are the worst in the commentary, lol.

"It's Buckets and Slim holding the Guard positions, then it's A-Train and Cowboy out on the wings. And it's Mr. Perfect out in the middle, manning the Center position."

It just sounds so dumb.

Well luckily for me, skinny has been my nickname just about my whole life (Because I always say whats the skinny, heres the skinny, etc) so being called skinny in the game is really natural to me.
