Running plays

Why are plays executed so slowly? Makes them very easy to defend off ball and very unrealistic looking - players jog coming off screens.

Re: Running plays

Thank you! The plays are actually great if they are run at the correct speed and picks are actually set...

Seems like they dumb the speed down to prevent them from being overly effective.

Re: Running plays

On a related note, does anyone have any trouble catching and shooting immediately after coming off a screen? Because players rarely have much time (if any) when coming off a screen I often shoot immediately if the opportunity is there, but players don't seem to catch passes with their feet planted. As a result of the player still moving, shooting before the defender catches up results in fadeaways, which never happened to me in 2k14.

I'm probably just playing this poorly, so wondering if it's just me or not.

I have that problem with corner 3s off of fast breaks. The player always shoots while falling to the side.

Could be that I'm rushing the shot

Actually what I see. But I noticed it more on the user side, cpu players will be right with my man step for step, even right there to defend the shot after avoiding the screen. My players are always way behind and when I do get there it's like something is forcing me from contending the shot.

I seriously think that's the problem with this game, the input delay on blocks, dribbling, rebounds and over commit on defense when trying to stay with your man, it's all there on purpose I believe.

I should not have to wait for an animation to play out before I can do something else.

I literally saw the cpu ai make two jumps back to back so quick to try to block my shot. I pumped fake the guy jumped I then went up for my shot and it's like he jumped again before hitting the ground. But when I tried it when I was back on defense it was so much slower.

I just want to play a video game where the cpu ai players plays way better then my ai players. I shouldn't be handicapped just to make the game a bit challenging. I feel like if a team is better then I should have to make the proper adjustments to win. With this game I don't fill it's the case. My ai players should step in the way of balks being thrown right at them just like the cpu ai. But they just stand there the ball goes right threw them. also I never get the ball after a blocked shot. The computer always gets it and then have a wide open shot because after blocked or tipped a ball I try to get it but the computer always gets the advantage and that leaves me out of position.

To me it seems like ratings don't mean a thing in video games,

Re: Running plays

Richardcg just posted the words i wanted to use but was too lazy for it

spot on!!! I have the same ecperience ..but layup defense strenght takeoff and release
for user to 100 will fix the lag on blocks amd contests

but yeah cpu ai is definitly cheating hard
Wich kills the experience sometimes .
