Don't like the fact that this dude appears in the FA Pool in MyLeague.

I want a sim-game, not to have ill college kids get vastly overrated (He has a higher OVR than Jabari Parker and Nerlens Noel, more badges too...)

I know I come off as a Buzz Killington but I feel like even more of a monster when I have to put all his ratings to 25 so that he doesn't become a viable NBA big man in Myeague.

He was a projected top 5 pick so they put him in the game as such. If you don't like it (as you said) You can drop his attributes. The kid had his whole life, his whole future ruined by news right before the draft and 2K tried to make a nice gesture and put the kid in the game.
