What are some of your guys house rules in regards to MyLeague

In every sense, what are things you guys do in terms of everything. I'm looking to start up my franchise and typically only do 1 per game that goes a few decades. Before I start it up I wanna do it a little differently this year. Thanks

I'm bad about setting specific rules with regards to draft picks and the like--I just try not to do anything too unrealistic. The only hard rule I can think of is not using the offseason camps since the cpu doesn't get them.

Normally limit myself to 3 trades a year. 1 At the start 1 at the deadline and I usually take offers during the draft, I also try not to the whore the CPU out of their draft picks.

I try not to do extremely unrealistic trades. I don't go overboard for the realism, but if I can't justify the trade both ways I won't make it.

Example, I did a 76ers myleague and one of the trade finder options for Nerlens Noel was goddamn Lamarcus Aldridge. Wouldn't make any sense at all in real life so I didn't do it.

Is this true? The cpu doesn't get those offseason camps?

That's what I've always heard from others, and have been under the impression based on my own experience. Can't say I'm 100% sure about it, but I believe it's the case.

Re: What are some of your guys house rules in regards to MyLeague

Some I can think of off the top of my head:
  • I bump Giannis and MCW's potentials to 91 and 92, respectively. Just me being a fan.
  • I make sure there's no position stacking before each season, and aim for three deep at every position. I come up with logical trades if there is any stacking. Or I'll just release a bad rookie and sign a free agent that team could use.
  • When a player retires, I hire them on as an Assistant Coach to the team they're most relevant to. (Ex: Steve Nash hired by the Suns, or Paul Pierce hired by the Celtics.)
  • Starting with the first ever draft, I add the sons of players who were drafted into the next draft class. (So, Jim Pollard II, Harry Gallatin II, and Ryan Rocha will be drafted in 2015.)
