shot meter broken?

does every release have to be perfect for a player to make a wide open jumpshot online?

im missing way to many supposed to be easy shots with guys who have shooting ratings in the 90.

yet i see people make hop step jumpers from everywhere with everybody lol.

also can someone explain how hookshots work?
the margin between a pump fake and a very late release seems to be ridiculously thin.

It even worse when you play MyCareer and go to the Park/Rec. Shooting is ****ed in this game since the patch. Most shots that are on the white line for people miss unless it contested. You can't make people pay for leaving someone open online.

You have to be close to the basket for a hookshot. I would say about 5-10 feet or like a few feet out from the paint to shoot them.

Yeah I sometimes shoot a very early shot when I want to pumpfake.

i have no prob with the shot meter. i always hear people say its broken. so i tried out random jumpers. i still get a lot of perfect shots. wats ur technique for shooting when u press the button or shot stick

you talking online or offline?

also on what difficulty do you play?

im talking online superstar.
my release is practicially in the middle with maybe a margin of 1 MM orso lol
its says slightly late or slightly early and its a miss.

i play on HOF. i used to double tap wit my shot.i would press the shooting button to start the shot then press it when i thought it was at the line. but i learned i just needed to hold the button & release it when its at the line. out of 10 shots i get 4 or 5 perfect releases when open. my 3pt is a 85

never doubled tapped lol.

i think its way different then online quick game.

I honestly find better results just ignoring the meter and timing my releases based on the player's shooting animation, I swear more shots go in that look bad on the meter if they match my shooter's follow through...

I been looking for help trying to hit shots. I miss wide open shot after wide open shot online. I've tried with the meter and w/o the meter and get the same results. Any suggestions? I play with Tor.
