Will we ever see 'real time' art updates?

I remember being really excited when "next gen" was announced and "always connected" was first mentioned. The possibility of real time art updates seemed very likely.


Sadly, it has been tokenism so far. 5 or 6 players updated at best in the big patch, everyone else ignored.


When modders can do this immediatly....why can't 2K?

I love 2K but it seemes to me they are SLACKING a LOT

Agreed. I wouldn't have cared if they hadn't bragged about that ability last year. They fixed some courts that were just wrong last year but I don't know what they did this year.

PES has had four extensive art updates...200 player art updates since launch.

Thanks Walt, that's impressive! That wouldn't be considered "real time" though would it?

It'd be pretty cool if 2k could do something like this though, to go right along with their now consistent roster updates.

I wonder if taking the "scanned" route hinders their ability.

If Beds had more control with facial hair and hairstyles I think he would go all out and keep players looks up to date. He's the man to do it...

Only thing he wouldn't have control over would be player tattoos but I think if the player base models where left bald, he and other roster makers alike can just add hair/facial to any player that's needs it.

So...basically players need to be clean shaven first so that way you can just add accordingly as the season progresses...

Facemasks should be like any other equipment....still don't know why 2k never implemented it as something you can just add on...

I don't know if its possible but that's how I always envisioned future roster updates for any sports game.
