How do you play MyLeague?

Do you play all 82 games, or do you simulate a certain amount? What's your strategy for getting through the season? For the games that you do sim, do you use Simcast or just sim it and be done with it?

Just want to see what others are doing, because I'm not sure I want to stay on the 82 game grind, but I'd really like to hear other ideas.

I go by my work schedule. If the game falls on my day off on the game schedule, I play it. All other days I simulate.

For example, I am off alternating weekends, so I work two weekends a month (Sat&Sun) and I am off every other Wednesday and every other Friday.

If the MyLeague schedule goes like this, I play these games

If any game correspondes with these date, I play. If not, I simulate;

April 1st Wednesday
April 4th & 5th Sat/Sun
April 10th Friday
April 15th Wednesday
April 18th & 19th Sat/Sun
April 24th Friday
April 29th Wednesday

You can also cut it to 58 games but it's 2 games per team regardless of conference and this can somehow result in inconsistencies with teams' standings ,if going for full realism is your thing.

Personally i usually play as many games within conference as i can,definately all games within division and rivals, and simulate the rest.

Then i usually play most playoffs games ,if i ever get there.To tell you the truth i've made the playoffs just once in my league so far.

I usually try and play the first 15 or so to give my team a nice start. Sim for a few weeks, maybe play the games against the best opponents. I like to play the majority of the season before the All Star break.

I play the games against even matched teams. But I sim a lot. I do not enjoy playing a sh!tload of games in one season with one team.

I'm on Hall of Fame, default Sim sliders, 82 game season, with 11 minute quarters. I'm in year 7 with my second franchise. I sim every 3rd game and every second game of a back to back. Following that formula will cut out half of the games. Then after All Star break I sim game against bottom teams. After the break I don't follow the formula so closely just because of playoff seedings.
