2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?

I think that 2k has dramatically changed the Gameplay mechanics for 2k16. At this time of the year, we would have seen more gameplay. This I believe is based on the snippets that we have seen , Mike Wang's comments on the 2kTV video about a new player moment system , and the fact that they aren't even showing us anything. Also I have noticed that player movement looks different (more fluid) then any Nba 2k game in history, and thats based on the little that we have seen.

I think they are hiding something MAJOR about gameplay.

What are ya'lls thoughts?

Hope so.

Mike doesn't usually do 'hype' so if he feels there's a leap I believe him...

I don't think they're holding anything back because of that though...

Agreed, Mike and Czar are the 2 guys I put my trust in.

2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?

I think they are holding back showing us raw gameplay because they made a huge leap in broadcast presentation. If this is true then 2K acquired TNT for the presentation to compete with the competitions directly. They aren't just going to market that they acquired TNT because that would make 2K16's "Be The Story" campaign irrelevant.

I think everyone including the OPster is forgetting that they need a new commentator for 2K16 since Steve Kerr is a thing of the past as a commentator.

I haven't seen anything to make me agree with what you said. The "in motion" snippets they've released looks just like 2k15 except for Curry's new jumpshot. Hopefully 2k16 is significantly better than 15.

I think more responsive controls, better gameplay, smoother animations and transitions, but not leaps and bounds. Overall a better cleaner game than last year.

To be honest, I think you're going to have a hard time deciphering many new gameplay mechanics without the help of Czar or someone else pointing them out in a video.

I wonder if they're just trying to find more ways to optimize the development cycle?

Re: 2K Holding Back Gameplay Footage because of Huge Leap?

Just like every year 2k will surprise us, in a good way, but i do get the feeling Mike Wang created something special gameplay wise and 2k knows it will hook us for sure. Wait a sec was it motion capture?
