NBA/Classic/Euro & now College teams... but no national teams?

So we've come down to having college teams in the game, which will eventually mean that all college teams will be available in future 2k basketball games.

Classic teams are more and more complete and legit (thanks to gameplay authenticity enhancements this year), and Euro teams are improving as well.

I think all this effort by devs is huge to give us the ability to play with pretty much the whole picture of the best of pro basketball, except for national teams.

I would love to be able to play championships with national teams, and I'm sure I'm not the only one around here.
Do you think it's out of the question for 2k to implement them? Or will we get that chance in the near future?

I'd love national teams in nba 2k as well, but 2k would have to buy a license to create those teams from fiba. EA had those team's in nba live, but rosters used to be very inaccurate.

If you really want national teams fix, try fiba 2k12 mod for nba 2k12. Really high quality total conversion mod with national teams of olympic tournament and also some historical national teams too.

With the 2016 summer Olympics coming up i wouldn't be surprised if 2k17 got the USA national team along with the other national basketball teams, these guys at 2k are ambitious and dedicated. Seriously who saw college teams coming before the leak? Trust me they'll get to it. Eventually .

I think they could easily be created with the new CAT customization and many of the best players already being in the game. All we'd have to do is drop them into a tournament.

If 2K had the licence we would probably already have a full Olympic tournament mode. Maybe they will make a push for it in the near future because with international basketball getting bigger every year its going to be a big selling point.

I used to play with this mod, it was crazy accurate, I remember playing it during the Olympics. But playing 2k12 now... I don't know, I'm too much used to current gen animations & graphics to play it haha.

At this point 60% of euro players have generic faces in the game. So theres really no point in national teams until that problem is fixed

I honestly don't think we are far off, I'm sure FIBA/Olympics are on 2k's wish list and they are probably putting together their resources to be able to implant the two within the game. I think they can do a better job than EA.
