NBA 2K16 PC Pre-Download?

Hi all,


Does anyone know if this will be possible this year?


If you have a slow internet connection and the game unlocks at 12PM (Australia time) a 50gb download would mean 26th is when we get to play..... now while that doesn't sound like a big deal, IT IS.....haha. The ability to game after work and a Friday night for a game you've been waiting for, for a YEAR is ideal. And waiting longer while watching it download at a snails pace is sheer TORTURE knowing others around the world are enjoying this masterpiece.....


The solution? Simply allow a pre-download and unlock on the day.


Not asking for too much right? Haha...... anyone know if this will be possible this year?

I constantly ask Ronnie and LD2K on Twitter but don't hear back. Understandable as they would get tweets from MILLIONS of fans all the time.....

Even when you pre download you're going to have to download a 2nd part

But the pre-download is the bulk of it? What is the second part? I thought you just pre-download the game but can't install it until it's unlocked......


I just know MGS V didn't allow a pre-download and a 28gb download took about 15 hours.

Exactly as it was last year. We all thought we'd just go on and play but there was another download. Go to the PC forum and check the old thread.

Even the console after you installed the disc you had to wait til a 2nd install was done.

Ok. Last year for me, I started downloading on the Thursday afternoon after work.
It finished Friday afternoon after work and I jumped straight in and started playing. But Friday was the day AFTER release. And thus, I didn't get to start the download until release day (not before)


This was via Steam. Whether a 2nd download happened while I was at work I am not sure so I'll check the PC threads.


But I suppose I just want to know if this year will be the same as last year or if we can download (the first part?) before the official release date.
