2k: Consider tuning the run logic of the game

Just lost back to back games online vs the 96' Bulls and the 86' Lakers in the NBA tier of PNO. Both games had me up coming into the fourth quarter (I was using the Raptors both times) and the same run happened in both games. All of a sudden, all the open shots my opponent let me have with Carroll and Ross stop falling, and the other guy is using Magic (who is 73 in moving 3's) and Ron Harper to sprint down the court and drill transition 3's or pass it to wings to make contested layups in both games.

I get that in real life people get cold and stuff, but playing a competitive game mode, I'd like to not feel like I'm fighting with my own players when I can't trust anyone to hit an open shot because the game decides that the other team needs to come back and that my guys are arbitrarily cold (timeouts didn't help unfortunately). To be fair, I've also been on the other side of this and know how it feels to all of a sudden have all your guys never miss and the other team can't buy a bucket even on good looks and stage a comeback when I'm down. Please take that out of the game, at least in player vs player modes

Yep, as assumed it's that vicious "comeback" code.

Re: 2k: Consider tuning the run logic of the game

I have no problem with runs or comebacks in the game. I have a problem with how during these runs I get penalized for good basketball (ex. PNR that leads to an open dunk or lay up and the roll player waits for the defense to recover and leads to a contested shot)

It's shot fatigue...

It's not "comeback code" but it might as well be cause those same wide open jumpshots that you can spam all game against crap opponents...

Well by the time late 3rd quarter comes, you not gonna be able to hit those...and it's not because anything your opponent did, but because you exhausted your "jumpshots".

Which is why I totally change my game once I get a lead.

I so the game down, use 20 secs, and I fish for layups.

Gotta play like it's football.

So how do you activate this?

I'm about to get dropped a tier trying to play with the Hornets online

Isn't there a "Tier 3 code" as well that's supposed to help me compete?

Someone put me on because I'm not getting it...

I wish I had saved the video in the moment, but I just finished beating a guy using the Timberwolves, and to start the 3rd quarter (I was up 13) the game turned on the comeback cheese BS and started making my guys miss wide open looks, including back to back perfect release 3's from the corner with Terrence Ross (who also happens to have the corner specialist badge).

Meanwhile, he's using Wiggins and LaVine to turbo downcourt off the long misses and make contact layups, and caps off the 9-0 run with a transition 3 with Lavine. I ended up winning the game, but its always like clockwork where as soon as the lead passes 10, then all of a sudden no one on my team can hit open shots anymore (timeout in the middle of it didn't help either).

Honestly, unless the other guy absolutely sucks, the comeback always happens.

Not when you sub your bench in the game and they miss wide open looks they were making in the first half, and all of a sudden the other guy is getting and-1s with players that were bricking everything just a few minutes ago. I almost always sub out my starters mid-3rd Q so that they are at 100 for the fourth.

Crazy how this stuff just never gets captured as often as it happens....I'm sure 2k could make some tweaks if they could see it first hand...
