That would be extremely repetetive. What happened to variety? last year you could play basketball and get around lazy off-ballers. Now you need to do the same cheezy move over and over. That's why everyone complains they are not satisfied, even if they are winning. It has gotten so bad, that experts are suggestion you "cheese" to get around them. On-ball was satisfying back when the game didnt semi play for you by pulling you everywhere, pressing buttons for you, etc.

This.

I have no problem with On Ball Defense this year, in fact I think it's the best hat it's ever been.

My issues with the defense in this game pertain to the actual CPU. I've never seen in anything like it in regards to the CPU on defense in this game.

Bad switching logic, clueless on the fastbreak, bad pick and roll defense, unnecessary rotations, constant biting on pump fakes, lack of urgency when hustling back on defense.

I'm not sure what went wrong this year.

Re: Whose idea was it.....?

8 bullet points of things you find wrong! Yikes reminds me of a client mock up only to find out they will go with your original idea in the beginning!

In my opinion this doesn't help the game! Give constructive feedback or ideas on how to improve if you see something wrong! The dev's and people who work at these game companies are just like me and you wake up, work, go home eat and sleep and do it all over again the next day. No one is super human!

No one or nothing is perfect! NBA 2k is evolving and can only get better I myself have spent hours playing the game. If you want to improve something then focus on that! Maybe you have good ideas I don't know!

Sometimes you just got to be thankful for what you have!

Lmao if on-ball is so good this year, why has there been a huge influx of offballers. Why has everyone suddenly decided to play off-ball and have success.

On-Ball is nice this year.

Nobody wants to put in the work on defense, want everything handed to them for easy transition buckets or they just want to chill under the basket and grab boards all game.

Offballers are all over the place every year, this is nothing new.

A huge influx? You have numbers to back that up because I'm not sure how you can possibly tell. On Ball Deense could be the best ever and people will still play off-ball regardless.

You don't have to either of those they're are just easiest to pull off; you can also get by with simple crossovers, hesitations etc. I'm far from a dribble master but beating the CPU off the dribble is very easy. The only real defense the game has against it is the suction defense and you can easily beat that once you're past half court.

Re: Whose idea was it.....?

This is why 2K comes with an array of options to customize the game to suit needs to overcome these issues.. They create the best they can in mid-level ground.. Then if you want to play offline and have it harder you can adjust the sliders to represent that, tweak attributes/tendencies etc.. Online you can choose to play in leagues etc and with the right people you can have it sim and the correct sliders there too..

Game modes like Pro-Am/Park/MyTeam are going to be easier, as it will try it's best to appeal to the majority and casual gamer.. If a new player picks the game up, like most online game modes in sports games, it makes the transition as smooth and easy as possible to help with future sales etc.
