To this day, I still don't understand why there are times where a full-court touchdown pass is safer than a 2-foot regular pass all because of a badge. I've seen high accuracy players throw passes out of bounds passing to an open man. Then you've got people chucking up Dilfer Dimes from hoop to hoop and scoring.
I understand unpredictability and minor mistakes and at least it's not too too common, but not players throw full court passes accurately, never mind every other possession.
