Floater controls

Just wondering everyones thoughts on floater controls...

Do you like floaters being tied to the stick or do you prefer a button combination? A lot of the smaller quick guards in the league do these in tight spaces....and not always with momentum like what's required to pull one off in 2k...it might also help with the use of the more craftier finishers like IT and Lowry...

What do you guys thInk? How would you map it?

Re: Floater controls

I like how it is especially with absolute controls . However the animation can be a little slow for a floater .

Re: Floater controls

The control for a floater is really intuitive and works well. But ever since they removed the ability to choose your floater animation, I noticed how much harder it was to get a good floater off. It's usually a slow animation that just gets blocked, especially this year. Floaters need to get off faster, and while they're fixing that they should also bring back choosing your own floater again.

Re: Floater controls

I like the way floaters are but I do wish you could put up some w/o haven't momentum. But I love it tied to the stick on absolute.

Re: Floater controls

Loved the 2k13 floater combination. They were more deadly, but harder to pull off as you had to time the distance and use a combination half the players struggled with. it was bad in 14 and 15, but this year it's improved a bit

Re: Floater controls

I appreciate the current controls but would like to see the animations improved to be more effective in context

Re: Floater controls

One of my favorite moves this year are a floaters/runners. Take note that success on making them depends on the release timing like shots, even though there is no shot meter.

Captured some of the nicest floater I've done ever in 2k series
