Anything below 70 is going to put your open 3 shooting in the mid to high 30% range.

shooting from the corner with the badges - corner specialist, catch and shoot, dead eye, plus dimer can help close the gap a bit. And being hot

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

I want a new player primarily for the park, however I'm torn between a sharpshooter and a slasher. I actually have a slasher file that I've played on a bit, but I'm not sure if it's worth restarting for a sharpshooter. Anyone got some advice and personal experience with these archetypes?

Absolutely. I am a 7'3" Paint Protector with maxed out 3 Point.

I'm talking Park here ( Mainly playing 3's - I never make a 3 point attempt in a 2's match as that game is all about possession but I digress ).... I am obviously not the "Go To Guy" for 3 point shots - some games I don't make any attempts, some I might take 4 or 5 depending on the situation / opposition but I average 50% from the corner (I have played around 800 games so it s a fair sample).

Anyone who has made a LDD archetype player is clearly not looking to be the main scoring focus but we can be very handy support players when / if the other 2 players are struggling to get the ball in the basket. To be honest it is not unusual for me to be the leading point scorer in a game simply because everyone assumes I can't score and sags off me and the guys I normally play with know how to use / feed me.

Shot-creator is the best class, don't listen to the people who say they got nerfed.

I'm shooting .697% from the field and 60% from three point range at myPark.

That is not true at all in my experiences in Pro Am.

Badges + hot zones will let you make 50% of your threes from the corner with a high 50s to low 60s rating.

I had glass cleaners and athletic finishers on my Pro Team who were all making over 50% of their corner threes.

Re: Player Archetypes NBA 2k17

regarding 3s, I just finish badging out my 95 6'8" 270lb SF Slasher today.
I have hotzones in even sector of the court

I have a 75 moving three, and today at Mypark, I took four open 3s in various games, from the top left and right on each side, so not corner.
And made 2, didn't green light any, just filled most of the bar. Surprised me and the other people on the court

Since they are moving, and open, only the Difficult Shots badge activated. Not sure if dimer actually helped, since I did have to move to launch them.

Still I'm now a threat, and maybe the % could be as high as 65% in the corners.

I've only played a slasher - but if you like to dunk, poster people and layup, then he's good for that.
He's also a lesser Shot creator for shooting off the dribble, and a lesser Playmaker for Ball control, handles and dribbling.

He does take quite a bit of stick skills and player knowledge to play well.
You can't dunk on every person, you will have to learn what shot to use, in each situation.
And select the right dunks so you can minimize being blocked

Sharpshooters shoot
