I just want my speed in the high 70s, low 80s and when I sprint to actually sprint.

I like the diversity of the archtypes. It's so there aren't any superman builds. It makes you really choose your playstyle.

i personally dont think 2K has ever really gotten it all right in terms of caps and player types. some years were better than others tho. but i sincerely never understand them making most new players with a below average dunk ability. with the exception of guys like JJ Barea, everybody in the NBA can dunk. Most of them can do windmills, tomahawks, etc. Creating a player that's a 6'4'' PG that can lays the ball up more than dunks(soft layups at that) is ridiculous to me. it's partly why i stopped playing the mode. your player skill increase should be more about consistency, scoring, and defending than athleticism as the overwhelming majority of the NBA possesses highly sufficient athletic ability. obviously some standout more than others(Lebron, Zach Lavine, Gerald Green, etc) but should you choose a guy with this skillset, it should drastically lower your chances of becoming amazing at other skill sets. I honestly think 2K needs actual NBA input from real NBA coaches/GMs/etc.

Re: Has increasing caps been confirmed?

Yes, most PG's can do windmills (Curry has actually done this multiple times in practice) tomahawks and what have you.

None of those 6'3-6'4 guys with the exception of Lillard and Westbrook is doing any of that in game. In practice yes, in game no.

Dunking in game in the half court is an entirely different beast than dunking in practice or on a fastbreak.

Mostly because when you drive to the rim you're going to meet guys who are 6'8 and above with long as hell arms, with quicker bounce than you, and probably have a 30-40 pound advantage on you, thus bumping you off course easier, turning that potential dunk into a contested layup or circus shot, depending on your body control.

But, the theme this year is choices. You make a choice on your position, playstyles, and vitals. These shape your character.

For example, equipping the new Posterizer animations is locked at Contact Dunk rating 82. Certain dribbles and dunks are position or rating locked. It looks like you won't be crazy OP at everything, but you'll be amazing at what you specialize in.
