Locking teams makes sense, otherwise it was a free reward and prices got jacked up because people knew they would just sell them back anyway.

Color me impressed 2K, color me impressed.

This all looks great, stat tracking alone sold me on the changes made. Sound like a lot of nice content for offline players and the new "RTTP" mode, MyTeam Online sounds way better. I do wish they would've added in an a single player "seasons" type mode like this.

Very excited to try this all out, the new fonts/menus/colors look so great too.

Ugh just noticed they eliminated all historic bronze and silver players...not a fan of that. There were a lot of notable and useful historic players below gold. Shooting specialists like Hubert Davis or Dell Curry for example. Definitely needed to weed out some trash but that's throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Edit: looking at the screenshots of team collections, many are traditionally bronze/silver historic players...so I'm not sure what is actually being referred to in the blog.

I think the trailer was supposed to be the myTeam pack opening by the community day guys (and that one fifa chick) that cashnasty released on his youtube page.

It didnt show anything but those guys opening packs and "freaking" out when they pulled a "probably predetermined" Curry , Lebron, Blake, etc.

Easily the weakest trailer so far. This blog has me more hype for myTeam than the 2 minute trailer.

Yeah that trailer was really not my cup of tea. I guess there is a subset of people that are just into opening packs, but opening packs is too much of a gamble for me. More stress than anything else lol.

About 90% of the challenges in 2k16 were offline, I wish they had more online ones.

Some good additions, I hope MT online has a fixed difficulty setting. Playing online H2H on Pro and All Star settings was terrible.

Are they finally going to give us custom setting play with friends. It sucks being force to play on Pro difficulty settings in Play With Friends mode.

Really looking forward to MyTeam this year and what it has to offer. It sounds more in depth and worth the rewards once achieved. And, since I'm not one to spend extra money in order to buy packs, the new MyTeamOnline will make the games matter that much more to me in order to get better cards.

My favorite thing from that blog was finally getting rewarded for playing defense. I would have great defensive games but only finish with like 600-700 MyTeam coins last year. So this will be a nice addition to the experience. Only a couple more days I can't wait!

Lots of nice improvements. Looks like they will make it easier to generate MT through gameplay and also win worthwhile, higher-end rewards through gameplay.

A couple things not discussed that I was hoping to find out about more:

Custom Team Uniforms/Courts

Will we be able to have more than one stored? Would really be great to be able to switch identities between stored created ones, rather than create them anew if one wants to switch.

MyTeam Blacktop Controls

Would like to know if they still will not allow us to determine our own defensive assignments and settings. I get they want to keep it casual and take out stuff like P'n'R defensive settings or even whether a guy gets denied off-ball or whatever.

But I think we should at least get control over matchups, instead of being forced to go by height. I.e. many times I'll have a team of on which my two shorter players are Isaiah Thomas and Michael Jordan and the other team's smaller two are Chris Paul and Raja Bell. The way it is in 2K16 Gauntlet is that I have to have Isaiah defend CP3, and have MJ defend Bell. But I'd much rather put MJ on CP3 and put IT on the guy who may be taller, but who is not much of a slashing or post-up threat.
