Very odd free agency money requests

So I decided to expand the league by 6 in MyGM. I started in the pre season just gone. It was all going fine until I reached free agency, I attempted to sign Durant but he was requesting 1.2 billion, as was Derozan. I didn't look at any other players. I don't know much about the financial side of the NBA, but there was some really weird figures in there. This is my first thread so I apologise if I put this in the wrong place.

Well look at that.. Do you remember what you set the salary cap value, hard cap value, and salary cap inflation rate at?

Having this problem as well. LeBron was asking for 300+ mil a season and saw Isaiah Thomas sign for 1.5 bil over 5 years. It was this same way in last years game before they fixed it a few months later in a patch. Hopefully it gets addressed soon.

I think it's because on that play through the league abolished the salary cap. I just did another two play throughs, in which the salary cap was not abolished, and the players were requesting normal amounts. When I start a serious franchise I'm just hoping the salary cap stays in place.

Sorry mate I didn't read your post before I wrote the one above. Nah I didn't change anything, just started a MyGM to check out how the expansion works. But I think I worked out, read above.
