Is it just me or arr contact layups/dunks really hard to make this year?

My player is 90+ driving layup, 88ish driv drunk and 85ish contact dunk.

I feel like as soon as its a bit contact layups shot quality goes way down, there is so many layups i've actually missed that had just a bit of contact.

And does anyone else have problems getting contact dunks? I swear there is something wrong with my player, like if there is a really small dude under the rim(6'1ish) instead of dunking, he always initiate a contact layup, its so frustrating. And i got acrobat, contact animations etc.

And this is on Pro difficulty.

Anyone else having similar problems?

Are you timing the layups?

I feel like I keep getting that weird flop animation that's an automatic turnover too consistently, but I hope that's because my ball control might be too low and I don't have any badges yet.

Yes, its quite common i get a good timing/release but for whatever reason the quality is really bad even tho the layup should be easy(minimum contact)

Its wierd.

I've gotten plenty of contact dunks with my glass cleaner but I don't know if I was driving on any of them since that rarely happens. Most of mine have been going up after offensive rebounds or when posting up on a small guy.

So being a slasher is cheese? Pulling up from 3 and hitting contested shots all the time is cheese. Working and beating your defender to gain enough speed to finish well with contact is not cheese. It's not that easy to get past a defender so hindering your ability to finish really sucks.

It depends on how much you're trying to do either imo. Unfortunately there are a lot of players where all they want to do is spam the right stick and slash 80% of the game which is cheese.

Contact this year creates some pretty realistic results though. Even guys like Westbrook will miss a lot layups due to contact in real life. So now you have to adjust your layup accordingly, or actually set your offense up whereas you'll have a clear lane. Opposed to just working the stick for some dribble moves and scoring in the past. It takes more thought this year.
