When online opponent pauses, let me be free to also change/review settings
Letting me access my own pause menu after my opponent freezes us kills two birds with one stone. This was in NBA Live 10, and helped move things along. If my opponent is ready and unpauses to resume, only then does my own pause timer begin to countdown if I'm still making changes. If I get done before him/her, no time was wasted and no one is the wiser.
A) I'm not frozen in my living room
B) This will eliminate my own need to immediately pause to tinker my own settings the moment my online opponent unfreezes me.
Bonus round online improvement:
After several consecutive years not touching this, it is imperative that 2k let us SAVE our online head-to-head lineups and coach settings so I don't waste my time, and my strangers time every single game, returning the settings back to the setup I prefer for the hundredth time in a row, and changed last game. I'm so tired of having to do this every game that sometimes I don't even change my coaching settings to what I'm comfortable with, because "F it". I use the Suns every time - why do I have to waste precious time telling my Xbox I don't want Jared Dudley to start at PF every single game.
Maybe before I press "A" to search for opponent with the Phoenix Suns starters on my screen, I can change the lineup there (and keep it saved). So long as my preferred lineup doesn't contain injured or traded players, what's the problem? Case in point, Jared Dudley is my default starting power forward. Perhaps the Suns will use him at PF, but that's not flying with me considering he's small, slow, athletic, and that I don't have a clue how to use a video game Jared Dudley unless he's standing behind the 3-point line unguarded. So I trade his spot to the athletic rookie Chriss, whose natural position is PF anyway (again). I have to do this before every game even though 80% of the time, this is all for nothing as my opponent will quit the game after the opening jump for VC points, whatever that is.
Basketball me.
