Stuck at Compensation Level 1 with Nike

Been stuck at level 1 as well, but I saw someone mention a workaround on here a while ago and it worked for me. If you make a new character and get him drafted high enough for level 2 Nike compensation right off the bat, then you can buy all the shoes on that profile and they'll be available for use in your regular career. For example, I made a sharpshooter and chucked all through college and got drafted third which was high enough for level 2 (not sure what the limit is) and so now I can wear any nikes I want.
This isn't the best workaround because you have to spend a few hours going through cutscenes but it's better than repeatedly grinding through games hoping for something to change.
You don't get free customized shoes btw, in case anyone was wondering.

I started on level two. Took about a season and a half to level up to three. Then it only took about a month to go to level four. I'm at the beginning of my fourth season(completely summer season two) and I'm level four on all endorsements other than Kia. Roster management ruining the game now though. Had 6 centers last season. We now have 7 centers with no backup pg or sg.
