One of the reasons why shooting percentages are so high might be because of contesting a shot having little to no impact on shots. The amount of shots that go in with a hand in the face is becoming annoying. I know players hit shots with hands in their face, but I don't think it happens as much as I've been seeing.
Playing against the Knicks right now, I've had Courtney Lee hit a midrange pull up on the break over myles turner, Joakim Noah hit a baseline jumper over PG, and a Rookie pf that has a confusing name hit a 3 pointer over Al Jefferson.
There were atleast 3 other instances but these stuck out the most to me. There are also times where I feel like I play great defense, only for the CPU to fade away or throw up a shot off the backboard for a swish.
Am I the only one experiencing this? If so, can anyone tell me how to stop it from consistently happening? Playing on superstar, btw

I could be wrong but I don't think so. You have to control the defender contesting the shot for the shot contest to actually mean something for the most part. Also a point guard will always have a terrible time contesting a center's shot.

Yo JBL try out my sliders... they fix a bit in conjunction with our roster both of which are still in the works... but a better feel for sure.

One of the first changes I make in 2K at this point is to change Auto Shot Contest from Intense-D to Manual. Takes a few games to get used to but I feel (opinion) that it helps with the issue you are seeing. I feel like my contests have gotten better since doing it.

You have to control the defender contesting the shot for the shot contest to actually mean something for the most part. Also a point guard will always have a terrible time contesting a center's shot. __________________ Playing NBA 2K feels like a job that pays minimum wage and then cuts your pay when you get your Bill's right to make it even harder to succeed.
