Useless attributes

I don't know why useless attributes like shot iq and intangibles has such an effect on overall. Did the dev ever give concise answers to what they do or is it just window dressing?

Did anyone confirm by using 0 and 99 to see if they influence your Overall? Anyhow, I don't have any proof that these two attributes are useless for a user. I guess I won't lose any sleep over this.

they both heavily impact overall. think back to when awareness was a rating and contributed to like half your overall (not that much though)

they are also both entirely useless for the user

If you make a new character and get your Shot IQ and Intangibles to 99, you won't get to even 56...

you cant use mycareer overall for anything because it's already been proven in several threads the past 2 years that mycareer overall is calculated differently than normal players

Because it affects how CPU players operate. Things like James Harden spacing out on D, Nick Young taking way too many bad shots, and defenders knowing who to pick up on the fastbreak are all controlled by ratings that have no affect on the player when a user controls them. It's what prevents guys like Buddy Hield from consistently scorching your defense even though his shooting attributes are top tier.

That's more of a tendency thing though. And alot of people say it's offensive awareness renamed, and I'm starting to believe it. Shaq has a 99 shot iq, orlando shaq, and he was one of the best at handling double teams. I'll test it

As for intangibles, I'm guessing it's either luck or just useless.
