Does anyone think the Rockets need to be redone?

They are a top 3 offensive team in the NBA, but unplayable because 2k decided to jump on the hype train when everyone was posting 1 highlight video of Harden not playing D. All they had to do was lower his reaction time because he does not get beat 1 on 1.

Gordon is the leagues best 3 pt shooter, but he has this super slow set shot release in the game making him useless. Anderson also suffers from this issue. Gordon shoots quick and try to shoot deep with Anderson in 2k and you will regret it, but he makes them regularly IRL all the time.

Other players in the NBA who I hate using in 2k are LeBron and Westbrook.

Most teams need to be touched up a little.

I have never been able to use westbrooke in game. At least not like the cpu. Westbrooke is one of the few players that plays life like in game by the cpu.

If you sim a season, no team comes close to what they do in real life.

Lebron is definitely REALLY bad in the game compared to real life

He is very sluggish after pnr and his lay-up dunk attempts go into this contested animation many many times

Also his release is quite slow compared to real life too.

First of all, Harden gets beat on 1 on 1 ALL THE TIME. I still think his defense is way extremely over rated. How he has a 55 defensive consistency and not a 25 i still don't know.

And Second off did you really just call Eric Gordon the leagues best 3 point shooter?

Curry, Korver, Redick, Thompson, Middleton, Lillard, Bayless, J.R., Etc.?

When it comes to THIS year, and a combination of FG attempts, Gordon avg the second most in the league by the way, only behind curry, he is the best. Dude is shooting 42% on the 8.7 3 attempts per game right now. Korver is avgering 3 attempts LESS, the two best 3 point shooters in the league right now, this year stastically has to be Lowry and Gordon. Gordon is shooting better then almost everyone from 3 and attempting the second most, 1.2 attempts more then Lowry, and Lowry is shooting at 45% at 7.5 3s a game. The next closest % wise in the top 20 is Reddick who, is shooting another 1.5 less per game, albeit in far fewer minutes.

Gordon and Lowry are the two best 3 point shooters this year easily, curry is actually having a "bad" year -by his standards, which are ridiculously high- so far, shooting just under 40% per game.

Also did you really list Lillard in there? He has NEVER shot over 40% from 3...not even close to 40% by the way. Bayless? you mean the one from the Bucks? Other then last year he's never been a heavy shooter from 3 (under 5 per game still that year).

Harden doesn't get beat? There's no possible way you can be serious. The dude is a bad defensive player.

People need to take off the homer glasses. Just because you say something doesn't make it true, and anyone who actually watches the Rockets play can see for themselves that your summary is biased.

No wonder this game sucks. Catering to online cheesers and people who think Harden can defend can do nothing but ruin the game. However, to be fair - the rosters are absolutely terrible.

Re: Does anyone think the Rockets need to be redone?

Any and everyone has gotten beaten one on one...

But as an objective rockets fan who watches all the games I can tell you that Harden's one on one defense is much better than he is given credit for. Its when he's off the ball that he drifts, wanders and even flat out goes to sleep.

But as for the Rockets on 2k:

-Gordon needs a silver limitless range badge and Anderson needs Gold. I'd venture to say 25% of his treys come from 3-5 feet behind the line.

- Gordon is quicker with the ball than they have, and that can be represented with a better dribbling package.

- Capela rebounds on the game better than he should, but he cant catch oops with near the consistency he can in real life.

- Beverly has a goofy, disjointed release and if the ratings are going to be consistent, his stats require a higher three point rating ( last i checked).

As far as the CPU using them, they dont run nearly enough pick and rolls, and Harden doesn't try to do enough flashy (pocket) passes to hit the roller. He actually doesn't pass enough as a whole.

That dude hates the Rockets. Gordon is shooting lights out this year. Both he and Anderson deserve HOF limitless range.

The stuff he said about Harden tells me he doesn't watch any Rockets games. He just repeats what he hears the media say about Harden in previous seasons.
