is pro am the only esports mode?

only big money tournaments i see is for Pro AM, aren't there big tournaments for play now online?

Sad to say but no. Really don't understand y they neglect the Play Now Online Users also. But I mean look at the Play Now Online Leaderboards. Least for the X1 they don't update it monthly,daily weekly. Disappointing to say the least.. Along with playing the same team over n over at times.. Rank games aka PNO has alot of great potential but because it's not used as a money thing for vc well we know the rest..

I'm going to guess, when it comes to the e-sports scene, 2K feels the team-dynamic aspect is more appealing from a viewer's standpoint than 1v1 matches. And also, yes, Pro Am encourages VC sales, which nets 2K extra cash. If it was just about VC though, then 2K could conceivably push MyTeam more heavily for e-sports because that mode definitely encourages VC sales. I would venture a guess that they like the team aspect of Pro Am over the individual focus of Play Now Online.

Really, All Star Team Up is probably the most e-sport friendly mode 2K has to offer. Everyone has access to the same "characters," and it's a team event. But, that mode doesn't encourage VC sales, so Pro Am seems to have taken its place.

5 humans vs 5 humans is more interesting and the teamwork aspect makes it difficult.

I do agree with you that the other modes would make for some good tournaments. Plus, now that the $250k thing is over... pro-am team really has no tournaments either - I really wish it had a Player Run Tournament feature..
