How do you keep 2K17 "fresh?"

Now that a lot of us have been playing 2K for a good while now, what do you do to keep it fresh? I am thinking about starting a MyLeague with all classic teams, alot from the 90's era. What do you guys do?

I just play with crazy roster mash-up, since it takes time to move the parts to where you like them, but it's enjoyable once you get the season started.

I usually play in phases.

First month or so im practicing, playing friends and PNO games..

After that I go into a MyCareer phase where im grinding and creating multiple players.

Next is the Pro Am phase where my friends and I have figured out what our team will be and try to stack up wins. Park is sprinkled in when we dont have 5.

The last phase is my Association phase. The lay-off from user-controlled 5 on 5 gameplay makes this refreshing. Im just about heading into that phase now....

I usually would rather spend all my time playing Park and Walk on. But Sometimes the game is ruined so much by noobs that I cant stand playing Park or Walk on. When that happens I just run Offline MyGM.


My go-to used to be MyCareer because there was a glitch to change sliders so that was probably my most satisfying year of MyCareer ever because while everyone was cheesing for badges I reworked my sliders and was playing sim ball in MyCareer. I always hoped that glitch would come back lol

I love playing online and offline so when i get bored of MyLeague i transition over to MyPark/ProAm and vice versa

None of my friends play myleague so it gets boring after a while of playing alone. Maybe try getting some friends together who play 2k and starting an online MyLeague

I'm a Lakers fan so what I did was take Kobe from the 2001 Lakers and Shaq from the 1995 Magic and put them on the current Lakers to see how far they could bring the team.

I chose Magic Shaq because you can't edit legend ages for whatever reason this year but I edited his stats to resemble 2001 Lakers Shaq.

So far it's been pretty fun, it definitely makes the Lakers a lot better as Ingram/D'Lo become the off-ball shooters instead of having to carry the team. The Warriors also offered me Draymond Green so I pretty much have a super team with D'Lo/Kobe/Ingram/Green/Shaq. Contract time is gonna be scary though.
