Do the courts feel smaller on the next gen nba2K games?

I played 2k13 this weekend, either the courts seem larger or the players are smaller. Also seems to take me longer to get up court in the older games? Tell me I'm just thinking clearly and close the thread, but if I'm right, any input appreciated.

It has been discussed and debated a lot. The devs say everything is to scale. However, I'm in the camp of the court feeling smaller this gen vs last. 2K17 feels like the players are scaled down some, to me. The players in 2K16 looked and felt huge relative to the court. I'm with you though that something is off with either the players or court in terms of size.

It can look wrong depending on the camera angle you use. If you use 2K view its going to look as bad as possible (imo).

Try taking a look with the skybox or nosebleed cam, the player models match up much better to real life size when you take a bit higher view.

I always thought it was the locomotion..players travel such great distances so quickly and animations are so long that the court feels small

I use broadcast cam exclusively. That's all I know. Now it could be the camera angles now, maybe it's closer. Look up 2k13 on YouTube In broadcast and then look at 2k16. Something looks different scale wise.

You're absolutely right!

Playing in sky cam view does help a bit
