Not sure who would make that choice or decision but Nike probably has some say in it considering they are manufacturing the jerseys. I'm sure they would want to add their own take on jerseys even if it's just a small tweak to differentiate from the Adidas jerseys.

I doubt 2k would randomly alter the jerseys themselves just for the cover (has this happened before?). I feel like NBA wouldn't want 2k tobtakebitbupon themselves to misrepresent the product

Since the NBA changed from ADIDAS to Nike, you can 100% expect at least minor changes on all uniforms in the first year. The NFL teams did the same thing when they switched from Reebok to Nike.

The NBA's VP of Global Partnerships had this to say about the new Nike deal, which basically guarantees this is the new Raptors jersey:

Since this picture has the Nike logo, you have to expect this to be the new Raptors jersey.

I also wouldn't think 2k would take artistic liberties with a team's uniforms, especially for a cover athlete. It's probably against some sort of licensing deal they have with the NBA anyway.

While I really like the cover, I hate this move. It's like the Show. Because the Canadian market has to have it's own cover, there was no Ken Griffey Jr cover for me this year.
