One thing I would add to the Hot List that the author didn't is adding created players mid-My League. That's going to be clutch, especially for guys that want to get started with MyLeague right away.
Great post. I'm pretty sure that after the trades we've seen in the past 6 months or so if you go back and read the Trade Discussions threads many of us (myself included) would look like fools. I'm not even sure how to approach giving advice in that thread anymore.
In regards to the bold: I don't think that the guys who complain about LeBron going to Orlando or Philly or another random team really understand what was happening or why it was happening... and it's really two fold. The first reason is the teams that LeBron would go to in real life don't have the cap space to sign him after the first season in 2K17. The second reason is in real life the teams that would try to sign him (or any other big name FA) would generally try to make a trade in order to make room for him. 2K doesn't have the function nor the logic for CPU teams to make those types of deals. Maybe someday the CPU will have the ability to make trades before Free Agency starts, however I kind of doubt a CPU will ever be smart enough to make those types of moves. I'd certainly love to see it though.
The hiring and firing of Head Coaches is a big problem for me and it's something that I pretty much take control over. The worst is in-season firings where one coach gets fired early, then gets hired by another team before the season is over.
The great thing about MyLeague is that it's so easy to just take over certain aspects of the game and control it a bit yourself. You might have to use a little imagination and/or some House Rules (like for in-season firing once a team reaches 10 losses in a row I automatically put them on the Hot Seat and use Random.Org to determine if they're fired). For the offseason, you can easily make coaches like Pop or Kerr stay if you want or if you want them to go to a new team you can random by giving them offers from different teams and letting them (the cpu) make their own decision etc. In a perfect world maybe we shouldn't have to do that, however, it's really not that time-consuming and makes for a better league/more enjoyable MyLeague experience so it's worth it to me.
