Re: NBA 2K18 To Feature All-Time Teams for All 30 Franchises

I think this makes sense going forward. As we request & are granted more classic players in the default roster, it's going to be harder to get rights to these players to form complete teams. This makes it so they can get real player models in game, on a team, without necessarily recreating that entire team.

I've always wanted a younger looking Wilt, 2010 Kobe, Chris Webber, etc. All these guys and more are heavily requested, but to bring in the team they were on in it's entirety, or even just most of it, may be more work than it's worth for 2K. Like how Sheed refuses to be in game, or how Barkley has his demands in order for the rights to his Suns version being in game. It's dope that the guys they CAN get in game, will be there, and we can finish the team on our own. Like how Webber, Bibby, & Peja etc are in MyTeam, but not Play Now. If they are on the All Time teams, we're that much closer to finishing up a 2002 roster and we just have to create a few extra guys instead of the entire time. Also this is great since there are limited CAP slots in game and 250 may seem like a lot, but as a guy who creates at least 45 guys every year for the draft class alone, I can assure you, it's not. Lol

Question remains if players of these teams can be used in myleague, can you place them on other teams using the roster creator ?

I agree with your post as a whole but as just one tiny aside: The 2002 Kings were a classic team in 2K12. Then they lost the rights to Webber in 2K13 but they were still included. By 2K14, the team was pulled.

Your point still stands regarding creating an avenue for other legends to join the fold without having teams. I just miss that Kings squad.

This^^^.

Glad they're not replacing Classic Teams, but you can't be ignorant enough to not understand why we might one day.

But glad some people now aren't "out, for good", good Jesus smh.
