Its the type of stuff that catches you off guard.

When he first started doing commentary for us, I was like wtf? Had to do my history. I knew he was good for the mavs in the 80s, but I didn't know he had seasons where he was averaging 17 and 18 and 19 points to go along with 7 dimes. I wasnt born till 92 his last season in Dallas lmao

I wish they would have put that 1988 Mavs team in the game that pushed the showtime lakers to 7 games in the WCF but I can just make them with like 6 of the players from that team being in the game.

Harper & Rolando Blackman were the Mavs for a pretty long time. They're not the best players but they were the faces of the team for years.

Kidd was a really good young player but despite not being an all star Harper had quite a few season playing at an arguably higher level than Kidd. I'm not talking about prime Kidd or anything, just those first couple years with Dallas. Nash had some pretty good years, and playoff appearances. I'd probably lean towards starting him.

I'm definitely starting Nash over him lmfao I really don't care about his longevity (even tho I respect it)
