That's not happening. They almost never say anything about sliders.

It really annoys me that there is not one difficulty that doesn't have boosts or nerfs for both the CPU and user.

So it is an average of about 1.5 and not 1.666 like I thought. Makes even less sense but I remember testing this out for myself at the time and this was legit.

I've always wondered why this thread didn't take off like it should have. It would've helped so many roster/slider guys. I've always used it to even out CPU ratings with the user's to cut out the BS, but when they took out the ability to see the adjustments they made for CPU boosts I pretty much stopped playing the CPU since.
What do you recommend I set the sliders to since everyone is -5 in attribute in MyTeam? I want that to reflect Play Now games offline.

EDIT: I want to in essence stretch out the ratings since 2K likes to overrate a lot of players. I want an 80 overall to play like an 80 overall. On the default sliders, I feel everyone players better than they're supposed to. I'd appreciate the help!

The easiest way to make players play worse is by lowering all shooting sliders since you'll have to work harder to score. That is subjective and it is made worse every year since shooting is never the same as the year before. Add in the fact that there seems to be a slider glitch this year that tanks the CPU scoring abilities and it's as tough as ever.

If you're goal is to get everyone's attributes to drop by 5, then placing all the attribute sliders to 47 will do the trick. This is assuming that they haven't changed the formula for how the sliders work, which I doubt they did.

Probably a question that has been asked a 100x.

Do sliders have an effect on simulating games during a season?

No, only gameplay.

This...and ACE is not OFF on lower difficulties, the cpu just makes fewer adjustments to what you're doing on the court. Superstar cpu makes more adjustments and HOF cpu will throw every adjustment that they're capable of doing at you. This is straight from Da_Czar, nba 2k Offensive A.I. developer.

I feel like this is a comment that some ghost in the database resurrected from 2K12 or earlier.

They virtually never explain sliders.
