For example Towns always averages around 50% from the field even though he's averaged 54% the last two seasons. I upped his stats like crazy and that didn't help so I'm guessing it has to do with tendencies, maybe coaching style? I've tried feed the post and play through star, maybe that hurts his FG? Also have him set as the first scoring option.

Mainly tendencies and attributes.

Check his tendencies, edit as you see fit so he shoots less jumpers.
