I’m not really worried about shutting him down. In the game I played he shot 1-9. It’s more about him taking more shots than Spree, Houston LJ & Ewing. That was annoying. He’s gunning and not even looking in the post.

I mean it was only two games. I’ll have to try some other teams to see if it feels like their point guards are shooting too much.

It has nothing to do with point guards shooting too much, that isn't a general issue in the game. I have teams created where the point guards hardly score at all.

There are literally hundreds of problems in that team's default roster contributing to the problems you're seeing. Unfortunately, I'm not at a good point to fix that particular team for my own roster just yet to show you.

For starters, like Rashidi mentioned, the lineups for that team (and any other "classic" team that was added this year) are all out of whack. It's unfortunate because a key rotation player is missing in Kurt Thomas. Sprewell was actually a 6th man for the team that year. If I didn't have the luxury of being able to add players and could only use the players they have, I'd probably start Dudley at the 4, LJ at the 3, and bring Spree off the bench, which would be a lot closer representation to how those Knicks were.

Most people think, "This guy is shooting too much or too little. I know, I'll raise/lower the shot tendency and that'll fix everything!". Fact is, I don't even think the game uses the shot tendency during gameplay, it seems to prefer Shot IQ instead. No, there are lots of variables that the AI uses to determine whether a player is going to shoot a shot vs. pass vs. dribble drive in certain scenarios. Often times, trying to fix the problem directly leads to even worse issues. Gameplay balancing is an art.

The point I'm making is there's no quick fix. Try to download a roster from someone who has spent the time to address a lot of these issues with that particular team, and that'll be your best shot if you want to have fun with that team right away.

Charlie Ward had 5 points and 5 assists (2-5 FG, 1-2 3PT) in 33 minutes in this game.

Kanter averages 20/14 per 36.

He had 31/22 on Christmas (vs Embiid).
