I don't think the questions should even really exist. This mass effect style just doesn't work for an NBA game. Only time it seemed to matter is pre-draft questions, when you could answer in a manner that actually affected where you were drafted. *That* I do not mind. But all the other stuff can easily be lived without.

Honestly, would anybody have a problem if we just took out all the extra bells and whistles for MyCareer? I know there's a crowd that wants to be immersed in reality ... but after a while, do people care THAT much?

Yes, people care about it. A lot.

There are more people that care about the MyCareer story than there are that don't. OS is a small portion of the player base. Just because a majority of us don't care doesn't mean the rest of the community agrees with us.

The story is a HUGE part of 2k now. It's one of the major selling points of the franchise, so it's not going anywhere.

Re: NBA 2k19 Wishlist

- Separate My Park/ Pro Am and My Career modes: The community itself has already started moving in this direction this year with many online players simply buying their player and skipping straight to My Park or Pro Am to grind their badges.

- IF the rumors are true and the 2K League does turn to be out played on a version of 2K which allows for a more realistic and competitive basketball experience, it should be incorporated into 2K19 as an official game mode. There is a fairly large segment of the community which is frustrated with the current state of Pro-Am that would likely be very interested in a more skill based online mode.

- The entire My Career mode needs a revamp. Besides separating it from the online modes, I would scrap the rather cringey forced storylines completely. Focus instead on a deep mode making the NBA feel dynamic and interesting enough to keep the player engaged. There are other sports games which include both a story based career mode and a more gameplay based career mode and are successful with it, this is an option which should be considered.

- As for general gameplay, address the issues with AI teammates behaviors; I should not have to fiddle around with various settings forever to make them basically competent, much less good.

I'm not talking about the story itself. That's always going to be there. I'm just talking about the other dumb stuff the story forces upon you. I just want to change my clothes but have to sit through a one minute cut scene that I've already seen?

30 games in, do people still pay attention to how they're answering press conference and post game questions? I absolutely hate that stuff that's unskippable and has no impact.

I know a lot of people don't mind the story and want one. But I refuse to believe anyone is excited about "hey DJ the guys in the studio want to talk to you" when that's happened for the 30th time.

Spend a year fixing the massive laundry list of bugs, legacy gameplay issues and UI errors before even thinking about anything else...

Re: NBA 2k19 Wishlist

Make a ProAM interface like FIFA's Pro Clubs. It is way too annoying to start games!

Start with not needing to go to the neighborhood, then to the arena, to play a game. Simply have it on the main menu and then take you to the lobby where you can choose one of the 5 positions on the court (instead of being auto assigned). The captain in the lobby can also assign roles like Inbounder, and whatever. You could also add an ANY position. Whenever the squad is ready the captain can begin searching by hitting start.

Inviting people to the team through the phone is dumb. Let people search for squads and join at the menu.

Have divisions 1-10 or something and then you earn your way up or down. This should hopefully make matchmaking better.

I disagree. A Mass effect style could work if done right.

For a mode that claims to be an RPG it's disappointing that there are very few choices aside from what skills to upgrade and what MyPark clothes to buy.

You could start by letting us choose our background. Just like in Mass Effect you could choose what background Shepard could have be it a Spacer, Colonist, or Earthborn.

The same could work in an NBA game

The inner city kid trying to make the NBA

The guy from the suburbs who tries to prove that he belongs where everyone thinks he was handed everything from the start but actually busts his *** off like everybody else. Something like this

The son of a former player trying to live up to his fathers legacy and maybe pass him.

The international guy who played ball in another country trying to make it in America and in the NBA. Who has a cousin that loves basketball and Bowling

Then of course during our careers lots of storylines should happen

What if after playing on the same team for a couple of seasons and you're tired of losing you sign with a different team.

Expect to get booed whenever you return to play them again.

A Rivalry with a player that goes way back and you have a history with him? Something like Larry Bird and Magic Johnson. Sure we saw a rivalry playout in 2k14 with Jackson Ellis but it was pretty weak.

Like in Mass Effect you could choose to be Renegade or Paragon. We should be able to be a considered a Villain or a hero.

Switch teams constantly and show no loyalty fans and commentators will consider you a mercenary that is only chasing after rings.

Play rough and violent and other players will hate you.

Choose an Agent

The agent plays very important part in your career negotiating your NBA contracts and endorsement deals. You don't have to be loyal to them and can fire them at any time. Signing with one agent might lead to better money but he has too many clients and hardly has any time for you. Signing with another agent might who might treat you like family but he isn't good at getting you good deals.

There's just so many things they can do It's disappointing that they decided to go for a cheap scripted lame story instead.

Re: NBA 2k19 Wishlist

Let us save and load playbooks. Nothing more annoying than to create your playbook in every League over and ober again.

How about a create a Play Editor?

Let us Set Playoff matchups in Myleague Online without the need to Simulate every game (which takes far to Long compared to for example nba 2k11)
