Pretty sure they don't look at badges all season. Mitchell still only has like 2.

With Lonzo LAL is top 10 defense. Without him they're bottom 5.

I’m not trying to bash Lonzo because he’s a great player, and like i said, he’s a good defender.

But since were talking numbers, let’s look at numbers:

Lonzo is 123rd in Defensive Rating and 18th in Defensive Winshares. Very respectable for a rookie.

Donovan Mitchell (also a rookie) is 9th in defensive winshares and 86th in defensive rating.

Jayson Tatum (ALSO a rookie) is 64th in defensive rating and 10th in defensive winshares.

Why did 2k decide to greatly increase Lonzo’s defense, but not Mitchell’s, Tatum’s or anybody else’s? What made 2k decide to bump him up so much when his defensive stats aren’t nearly as great as some of the players with lower defensive attributes than him?

Not one time did I say he was a bad defender, because he’s not. What I did say is that he’s not better than Aron Baynes, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown or Donovan Mitchell, because he isn’t.
