Been playing since the first 2k all the way through today. Really enjoyed his battleground videos. Never been an online player though, too arcady (if that's a word) for me.

I don't post as much anymore due to life obligations: wife, kids, home, career. I joined this forum when I was a 19-year-old college student skipping class to play NBA 2K3, and I just turned 35 last week. But I do miss the "Don't play video games, play basketball" era here and with 2K in general. I feel that the focus now is on the create-a-player modes, not just in NBA 2K but in all the major sports video game franchises. I just lurk hoping for a nugget here or there to keep me interested, at least long enough for when my son is old enough to play and I can teach him to appreciate basketball, and other sports, the way they were meant to be. I'm also a school teacher, so playing gives me a way to connect with my students on a level outside of academics.
