I Played 2K14 Again...Does it Compete with 2K18?

That, help defense strength and a few other sliders make it playable. I'll be uploading the rest of this game I played with the Lakers with my own sliders later on.

Did you watch the video I attached? I'll be uploading the rest of the quarters later so you can see some really good defensive plays. It's not perfect but it's definitely better than the defense out of the box

2k14 last gen and this gen was a lot of fun for me. Yeah we all know it was barebone I get it. But for me being a franchise guy, I had a lot of fun with 2K14.

I think vs the cpu 17 was better. Although, 18 was better vs. Users imo.

When I played current gen 2K14 I hated it. Very very shiny which was cool but completely bare bones with a horrible soundtrack filled with mainstream song after mainstream song (liked some of those songs but still it’s annoying to have nothing but mainstream songs on a video game). I liked how feet planted though but coming from past gen 2K13 I thought gameplay took a step backwards on 14 current gen. I wish I would’ve played 14 last gen cause that was probably a good polished version of 2K13.

Let me add that I look back on 2K14 fondly gameplay wise. I liked what it had compared to 2K15 and 2K17 which I think are the worst games this gen. 2K16 being the clear best and 2K18 being above 2K14 mainly because of depth and game modes/soundtrack.

2k14 is a the graphic showcase for next gen launch. It’s still the most brilliant looking 2K they’ve made in the franchise. Player models , shiny bright courts, facial expressions on the players and What I would consider the best soundtrack in 2K history. The only problem with the game is that the AI is probably not as good as our future games like 15 and 16. It had glaring issues specially defensively and limited coach settings and Jordan’s face got butuchered. But again the game was very fast paced and very fun and absolutely gorgeous. It’s amazing how the presentation and graphics have actually gotten worse in nearly all aspects even now from the videos I’ve seen on 2K19, 2k14 is awesome from that perspective. 2k14 Last gen is right up there too and probably A deeper game of basketball just not quite as pretty as mentioned above but definitely awesome. Gameplay still better last gen
