It was the best it's ever been in 2018 at launch. Then they patched the game because of the online crowd and made it exponentially worse. I fully expect that to happen again.


Maybe 2k19 is the year they patch online and offline separately. But I'm not going to hold my breath.

They hardly patched 18's gameplay though. A lot of people were complaining that they didn't patch the gameplay issues. And this is after they complained about them pathong 17 too much lol.

Yea, Mike specifically said he wasn't going to touch much and what we see is what we will get, barring any major issues.

I fully expect 2k19 to be the 2k18 we shouldve got. A 1 year dev cycle is tough for an annual release title like 2k. This would mark year 2 for the new motion system so I expect this to play great

Never was a big fan of patches. One thing gets fixed, that 2 things break. Codes bump heads and you have to live with the results. Just tie everything they can to sliders. For instance, foot planting. If you want it loose or stiff. Same with clipping and bumping if possible. If they find a serious problem, they need to push the release date back and correct the problem. Once the first patch hit, be ready for the roller coaster ride
