Answer me this - why are so many people trying to kill the messenger instead of trying to analyze why people might be upset about the lighting?

Or redirecting that frustration at 2K for creating the climate for these complaints for years?

Ah, it’s the fans fault. They need to shut up and get in line. Got you.

You’re right, balance is needed. Which is the whole point I’m trying to get across. You can’t make this forum an echo chamber for the thoughts and ideas that only you want to hear.

Like I said, it’s a ignore/block button for a reason. I know a lot of threads it’s people complaining about the same things over and over but it doesn’t bother me that much. If I see someone about to go in about lighting or something, I just move along to the next post.

If you see the same person talking about the same things and it’s bothering you, just hit the block button so you won’t see their post anymore. Complaining in every thread about them complaining about the same things is just cluttering threads even more about silly stuff. Let them make their post and keep it moving.

Sort of on topic the reason I bought 2k18 just recently was because on the Madden, Fifa and Show forums I saw so many pointing out how much 2K's franchise has to offer, despite not being a basketball fan I checked it out. I'm enjoying my experience with it, debating if I should just get 19 once I see how it is described here. I play myleague, control all teams, and generally just enjoy watching games I chose to have played out. So some of the online issues and other playing difficulties won't bother me. So it was interesting to see, once here, that the grass isn't considered greener here as it seemed on the other boards. But like elsewhere, if aspects of the game aren't to your liking lodging a complaint or discussing in the appropriate forum is your right, especially with the money we pay for games. But (and not just here) seeing the same complaints in multiple forums that have nothing to do with that issue to me is annoying. "Whining" may be in the eye of the beholder. When you can't access the servers or get a semblance of a smooth online game, when your CPU teammates ignore the boundaries of the court, when your favorite team's name is spelled 'Knucks' on the court, I get that people will and should complain and request corrections. When you go from board to board complaining that Clyde Frazier should be rated a 99 and what trash the game is because he's not, that to me is whining.
Sorry for the long post.
Btw on Steam, theres a trick to go back on olders versions.
