Attachment 158944Attachment 158945Attachment 158946Attachment 158947Attachment 158948just a few pics of some of the “old people” shoes that I own lol. The navy/white/red is my favorite model the 998. I customized these by painting and using suede dye back in college. Inspired by France. Same as the last one, (1600) in burgundy called “doué la fontaine” Inspired by a rose festival that’s held in doué la Fontaine, France. The different hues of maroon, red and burgundy represent the stages red roses go thru from life to death. The black/white/grey 574 was my favorite bc of the 3M material so I was able to get the best out of that. Those are inspired by my love for black and white photography. I’m an artist so yeah lol.. but anyway, I’m glad to see NB back on the basketball map and not just being associated with runners. Like someone said earlier, It would be nice if pony and ASICS made a return as well. ASICS had a ton of dope basketball kicks so I could see a return from them in the future. Pony on the other hand, not too sure bc a lot of brands have tried reviving pony but to not much success. I feel like what got pony the axe from basketball was when they dropped the city wings pair, which closely resembled the air Jordan one. During that time, the fakes market wasn’t what it is now, probably didn’t exist but, many felt like these were considered to be a poor mans versions of the chicago air Jordan 1 colorway. Since then many brands have collaborated with pony but haven’t been able to consistently keep them in the game. I don’t think even Kanye or just don himself could revive pony. Kith was one of the last brands to collab with pony and that was 4 years ago

Bro I'm an O.G. . . NB was relevant back in the 80's as a hoop shoe yeah worn mostly by colleges and universities but only a few NBA players wore them just like Asics. . . the NBA players mainly wore Nike, Converse, Pony, Adidas, Reebok and few British Knight were sprinkled in towards the end. . . in the early 90's is when a lot of these other off brands like And1, Fila, Troop, LA Gear etc. popped up but didn't live long on the NBA court due to POOR performance but thanks for trying to give us a history lesson YOUNG gravy lol
