the defender was completely out of position and he didn't anticipate the pass.
He jumped into the passing lane only because of a ridicolous sliding animation

This part of the game is terrible

How many times can that guy spam steal before someone calls a foul?

Yeah the rebound steal spam has improved as in they get fouls more often. It’s still successful here and there though. I got ripped twice yesterday in a handful of games although one time it bounced out of bounds.

People need to be severely penalized for spam stealing in this game.

Does anybody think this thing seem legit ? Is it the skillgap yall talking about, like turboing on ballhandler with Porzingis ?
Are we playing 2k or Fifa19 cuz this looks like a sliding tackle to me
It also occur when you hold the protect button (especially in this situation it's even worse)
So frustrating you get penalized for slowing down the pace but over agressive D gets rewarded
I had to equip a walking size up with a behind the back in it to avoid this exploit

Let's break down the situation
UBR is using Porzinigis to bring the ball up the floor. He gets ripped by another Porzinigis who proceeds to bang a 3. From the looks of the video it looks like UBR's opponent only presses the Square button ONCE.

Porzingis is not a guy who brings the ball up the floor consistently. This is in MyTeam so it's quite possibly a normal League Card Porzinigis(where the meta makes all the NBA players at launch depowered versions of their Play Now ratings). It's in Triple Threat which is a more arcade version of MyTeam than say MyTeam Unlimited.

There's many questions.
Should UBR have used Protect Dribble when initiating the offense with a big man?
What should happen if a user frame perfect guesses the right side you bring the ball and presses the steal button with a bad steal rating?
Should UBR have brought the ball up with his PG?

The whole sequence is basically the lunge that we all want from bad stealers but the success because the lunge covers a wide gap realistically and because most people wanted the defense to be better compared to 2K18.

So should lunges(which don't flow aesthetically good to pickup animations) turn into more pickup animations in comparison to steals?
Should you always get the lunge if you reach with a bad on ball stealer like KP?
Should bad stealers just get the lunge animation without being able to touch the ball?
When is it appropriate for a guy like KP to get the lunge and when is it not appropriate?

This is because last year we all complained about not being able to steal and lack of ability to stop drives.

Harden, Durant, no way you were stealing the ball even with tight double teams. Best you could do was make them drop the ball only to pick it up again. Timed steals weren't happening either it would deflect or slip through your fingers at best.

Mashing steal after a TO was a problem though last year too. There is absolutely no penalty for doing that. You can swipe at the air 10 times then recover back on D quickly.

So they made the AI D sticky to stop easy drives and ability steal has increased ten fold. Combine those 2 and it has been a disaster.

They simply haven't been able to balance last year with this year and have totally over done it!
