Pretty sure they have to sign a contract to be in the game. If they don't want to they don't have too. None of the other staff members are ever right. The GMs and owners are not correct. Only the HC really has to be in the game.

Not buying that. Most of the missing guys are former players who are already in the game. Plus there is a mode called myGM/myLeague when it actually matters. They eventually become head coaches.
