Is there any way to save and quit a game in My League

All I see is quit in the pause menu.

Offline it's possible, but the team that has possession of the ball has to cross half court, so you can't do it at the end of the quarter. Do it in the beginning of the next quarter once you've crossed half court.

You don't even have to cross half court, but if you resume the game it will reset to the last play of the previous quarter if you don't.

So just pause and quit? Or will a "save and exit" option appear when you pause after you cross half court?

When you pause at the 'right' time, instead of 1 option (quit) you will have 3 options: quit, save and quit MyLeague, sim to end.

It's the same thing with the SimCast and SimCast Live options, you can only use them when you pause at the 'right' time.
