For how I intuitively have always wanted to play the game, being able to do so much with just left stick dribbling is such great news.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

This is something I've been wanting for years I'm super excited to play the demo on Wednesday.

basketball is about movement, and keeping the defense off balance and as the game started to visually look more and more realistic it started lacking in the movement area.

Being able to swing the ball the open man and attack a hard close out without getting sucked into a bumping animation will be pure basketball gaming heaven.

I agree. If the turbo closeouts result in blow byes, then we should have true drive, kick and scramble game. That would change everything gameplaywise.

Just give up real defense in the game

The transition defense sounds cool when being explained and discussed, we'll just have to hope the execution is there to match.

I've never envied the position of basketball video game programmers. Often it seems they introduce something with great intent but you never quite know how it's going to play out. Hopefully free-flowing transition opportunities aren't x'd out by something like a magnetic defensive response.

I hope all this works out. To me the best feel" for 2k was in the demo for 2K18, before they had to patch out all the nuance on movement to defeat the cheesers.

I get why they did it, with how OP the ball handler was in relation to defense, with the lack of help defense. So they nerfed a lot of the ball handling nuance and made warping on ball defenders OP to block ball handler penetration.

Hopefully, they can get it right this time and keep it that way.
